Description of Portmeirion Studio A Christmas Story Footed Ice Tea Glasses, Set of 4
Acclaimed artist Susan Winget designed "A Christmas Story" for Portmeirion in 1995. It is the first and only depiction of the famous poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore on fine porcelain tableware and accessories. Each piece features a different scene and story line from this famous poem. Over the years, this delightful table service has become one of the most collectible series of holiday tableware on the market. Portmeirion will continue to expand the collection each year with the introduction of porcelain pieces reflecting more of the story line. This pattern continues to be a treasured collectible series passed down through generations. Set of 4 ice tea glasses. Hand washing recommended.It's yummy for the tummy when drinking from a glass adorned with jolly Saint Nick and his sleigh of goodies. A band of holly berry greenery decorates the upper end of the cylinder, while the middle features an image of Santa and his sleigh pulled along under a half moon by golden reindeer. Bright reds, greens, yellows and blues shine cheerfully on the clear glass background. Part of the A Christmas Story pattern from PS Portmeirion Studio, these glasses will tempt year-round use, and that's fine. A full, 17-1/2-ounce capacity allows for enjoying a tall, cold one over the holidays or any weekday. The thick, glass-footed base and cylinder will stand for normal, daily use. To best care for the glasses, never wash them in the dishwasher, as it will damage the image.
